Chase Lyman and Chad Froman Named Co-CREOs
We are extremely pleased to announce the promotions of Chase Lyman and Chad Froman to Co-Chief Real Estate Officers at The Sobrato Organization (TSO). Both are highly respected in their fields and bring expertise that will enable us to continue our great tradition of high-quality real estate investment, development, and operations.
These new positions will work collaboratively with the Executive Leadership Team, the Sobrato family, and the board to accelerate our mission while inspiring our team and partners to align business and philanthropic leadership for the greater good.
Chase Lyman previously served as the Senior Vice President of Leasing and Acquisitions, and has been with us since 2013. He acted as the primary intermediary between tenants and the brokerage community, overseeing all contractual agreements between TSO and its tenants. Additionally, Chase managed the listing and marketing of our commercial properties and is responsible for the renovation and rehabilitation of our commercial buildings. Since 2013, Chase has led the leasing efforts for over 9,000,000 square feet and $5,000,000,000 of total consideration.
Prior to joining TSO, Chase spent seven years as a member of Newmark Knight Frank's Palo Alto office, where he represented numerous major landlords and tenants in the region. With his upbringing in Los Altos, Chase possesses a deep understanding of the Peninsula and Silicon Valley markets. Outside of his professional commitments, Chase is actively involved in the Ronald McDonald House Bay Area.
Chad Froman previously served as the Senior Vice President of Asset Management and has been with TSO since 2017. He oversaw the Asset and Property Management departments for the organization’s commercial and residential portfolios. In this role, he spearheaded the formulation, implementation, and execution of asset-level strategies aimed at enhancing value creation and risk mitigation. Additionally, Chad’s duties extended to leading the debt financing activities for the real estate portfolio, reporting to the firm’s principals and governing bodies on the performance of the real estate business, and developing and managing real estate budgets and cash flow forecasts.
Before joining TSO, Chad served in various capacities at MWest Properties and Ares Management. His professional journey commenced in investment banking with stints at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, and UBS Warburg. In addition to his job duties, Chad actively contributes to the real estate community as a member of the Housing Industry Foundation Board of Directors.
