Silicon Valley Program

Leticia serves as the Program Officer of the Regional Agenda portfolio on the Silicon Valley Program. She will focus on capacity building and grantmaking to support systems change and policy advocacy to advance economic mobility in our region.

Before joining The Sobrato Organization, Leticia spent eight years on the Community Action team at Silicon Valley Community Foundation. Her team focused on local investments in Santa Clara and San Mateo County, strengthening the sector and capacity of small-budget organizations embedded in communities of color. Leticia's work directly impacted community engagement, building partnerships with local leaders to center their voices and the voices of the communities they sought to support in designing and implementing solutions to local challenges.

Leticia is excited about the intentionality of the foundation's strategy fostering belonging and creating inclusive communities where all individuals can contribute and benefit from opportunities, policies, and social structures without barriers related to their identity or background.

Leticia was born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela, where she completed a Law Degree before immigrating to the United States. She studied Political Science at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

Some fun facts about Leticia: Her favorite color is orange. Leticia holds a Culinary Arts degree from the California Culinary Academy. She enjoys exploring the connection between culture and food. Additionally, she loves dancing to Afro-Caribbean Latin Rhythms and learning the historical origins of these dances.
