Dr. Guadalupe Díaz

Dr. Guadalupe Díaz is a Research Associate with SEAL who brings extensive experience researching early educational programs for Dual Language Learners. Prior to SEAL, Dr. Díaz worked as Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of California, Irvine, where she focused on improving early educational outcomes and parenting for bilingual children and families. She received her Ph.D. in Human Development and Family Sciences from Oregon State University with an emphasis on early childhood development, educational experiences, and parenting. Her research is focused on understanding and improving the individual and ecological factors that influence children’s educational experiences, and the influence of parenting skills and engagement on children’s development. Specific populations of interest in her research include children and families from ethnically diverse backgrounds, and children who are Dual Language Learners.
