We’re proud to share that our 2024 grantmaking under our Silicon Valley and English Learner (EL) programs, along with some discretionary and new opportunities grants, totaled $56M across 201 grants.

Silicon Valley Programs

Our Silicon Valley Programs team deployed 158 grants totalling $30.4M. Additionally, our team successfully piloted a participatory Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) structure for the program and developed partnerships across the portfolio, including co-investments and deep partner engagement in our Deep-in-Place communities of East/Downtown San José and Redwood City.

English Learner (EL) Program

In 2024, our EL Program deployed 43 grants totaling $10.25M. This support led to four significant state policy wins and influenced how dozens of districts develop policies for ELs. Plus, our grantee partners were able to unlock an additional $9.7M in new EL public and private funding and trained 1,118 students, parents, and community members.
