Abeda Iqbal is Associate at Sobrato Capital, where she’s responsible for sourcing, conducting due diligence, structuring, and managing impact investment opportunities across a diverse portfolio that spans various asset classes and impact themes.
Before joining Sobrato Capital, Abeda worked at the Ford Foundation, conducting due diligence for a $350 million Program-Related Investment fund and a $1 billion Mission-Related Investment fund. Previously, Abeda worked with Kiva.org's Small and Growing Businesses team, providing loans to social enterprises across the Global South, and served as a consultant for 60 Decibels, a company specializing in end-to-end impact measurement. She began her career in a rotational program at Regions Bank, gaining broad experience in accounting and finance.
Abeda holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and a Master of Public Administration in Social Impact from the London School of Economics & Political Science. She serves on the Associate Board of Brighter Children.
