Nathan Park
Senior Advisor
Silicon Valley Program
Nathan Park is a Senior Program Associate of Silicon Valley Programs, working to support local giving and community engagement across the Silicon Valley region.
Previously, Nathan served on Sacred Heart Community Service’s development team, an essential human services provider, where he managed a $2M grants portfolio, contributed towards agency-wide fundraising efforts, and worked to shift the written and verbal narrative for how the nonprofit sector portrays poverty and those affected by it.
He also brings a wide array of knowledge to the team with previous experience in nonprofit community engagement, sports retail, coffee, and fundraising. Since arriving to San José, Nathan has also volunteered as a youth leader with Shalom Iglesia (a Latino-specific church), interned with Servant Partners where he built deep community-rooted relationships in East San José, completed a leadership fellowship with the New Leaders Council, and worked alongside San José Bridge Communities, SOMOS Mayfair, and CityTeam Ministries to support pandemic food relief efforts in his neighborhood.
Nathan holds B.A. degrees in Global Security and Justice and American Studies: Race and Ethnicity from the University of Virginia. When he’s not working, Nathan loves breaking bread with his neighbors, playing sports year-round, and exploring the great outdoors on his trusted bike. Nathan grew up in Bristow, VA, as the son of Korean American immigrants, John and Sandy, and is a brother to Emily. He is passionate about seeing his community, neighbors, and family living abundant and thriving lives.
