Conference Center Eligibility + How To Request Space

Eligibility

All Bay Area 501(c)(3) charitable organizations are eligible to use our nonprofit conference facilities at no charge, on a first-come, first-served reservation basis. All activities must be related to and support the charitable mission of their agency.

State, city and county public agencies are also considered on a case-by- case basis, pending a direct program-related alignment with the Foundation’s mission priorities.

Commercial, religious, and partisan political activities are prohibited. The rooms are not available for use by individuals, groups without 501(c)(3) status, or those that cannot produce the required certificate of insurance.

A $2 million General Liability Certificate of Insurance naming the Sobrato Foundation, the Silicon Valley Community Foundation, the Sobrato Family Foundation and The Sobrato Organization, and their related entities as additionally insured is required for every meeting use.

In addition, we require a liability waiver and orientation to be completed at least 1 week prior to your first meeting and on an annual basis thereafter.

How to Become a Space User

The Sobrato Centers for Nonprofits are now open at all four locations, which are San Jose, Milpitas, Redwood Shores, and Palo Alto. To both our community partners and SCNP Tenants, we welcome and encourage you to register as a first-time user via this form.

Once an inquiry has been submitted, the respective Philanthropy Partner will contact you to follow up on your request. We can’t wait to host you at the SCNP centers and continue to build in community.
